Is there a way of saving multiple selection sets? So far, I see that I can copy and paste only one selection set (subobject selection). In Lightwave and MODO, I'm able to save multiple selection sets in a list. I can then click on each to activate or deactivate. Very hand for going back in and editing complex geometry.

Look into groups. You can group objects, polygons, edges and vertices. There's an 'object groups' tab under the scene explorer where you can see and select them.

Cool. How do you save subobject selection into the Groups folder?

There are right click context menus in "Scene Explorer" which you can use to create and edit your groups.
