Maybe this exists already, but one nice thing that Softimage and Maya have is double click edge loop/ring selection.

I'd love to see that happen here.  In Softimage (and I assume Maya) to select an edge loop, you select 1 edge, then shift double click another and it selects the loop.  For a ring, its the same thing - select an edge then shift double click another on a ring.

I've been trying to figure out the Visual Tools ring grow, etc., and I can't make them work.  I find double clicks to be very quick and easy.

Thanks,

Paul

it's already there

double click a edge, to loop select, or select a edge and double click a other to do a range select
and double middle click to do ring selections.

to do a face loop select a face and double click the face beside it in the direction you want to go in.

there are some other ones too like area selects where you can make a selection sealing off part of a mesh and double click and it fills it all.

also check the help docs out, there are pretty decent and explain most major features

Odd.  I double click an edge and nothing happens.

Face loop works perfectly, though.

what is lmb bound to replace selection or toggle selection?

also you dont select a edge first just double click a edge.

also does the double middle click edge for ring select work for you?

They both seem to be working fine now in the latest build.  I'm not sure what was happening.
