Hey guys,

Been trying to learn some Nvil, Loving and hating it to be honest. I wanted to help improve some of its workflow, I made little video explaining some of XSI's modeling workflow tools, just how some of its quirks of great modeller made it so nice to model in.

Would great if looked in XSI modeling tools and adopted some  of its strengths.

Thanks for the feedback, Mike!

* You can do Move/Scale/Rotate/Extrude/etc regardless the cursor position. That means you don't have to move the cursor to highlight the gizmo first.

If you open the default tool window, View > Windows > Visual Tool Window, you will see a tool section "Streamline Tools" where you can find Move/Scale/Rotate/etc tool buttons.
You can click the button to activate that tool or you can press its hotkey instead. If you use hotkey, the tool will be deactivated automatically once the hotkey is released.
Once the tool is activated, you can use mouse button LMB/MMB/RMB to activate the tool's sub-tool then drag cursor to do the operation.

* You can set up your own UI to collect tools to suit your workflow. Check the last post of this thread for a video of UI setting, http://digitalfossils.com/nvil-forum//index.php?topic=4821.0.
