Pretty simple feature, just being able to hide selected or un-slected sub-objects

+1  That Blender implementation looks perfect and really clever.  It would also be cool if Kun stole a trick from Softimage in that when there are hidden components on a mesh there is a small red H next to the name icon in the scene explorer.  This makes it immediately obvious that there is something hidden on the mesh.

yes that would be a great addition indeed ghib.

ya maya and max allow you to hide elements like this too but there not smart about how it hides faces when selection via vertex's or edges like blender and silo are.

tis true, i was using the toggle object visibility command instead by accident.
