Streamline Tool For Subdivision Creasing,

would be a pretty useful feature since having the use the gui one can be a bit cumbersome for quick changes.

a streamline tool that uses NMB for adjusting the creasing, than maybe LMB click to use the last used value and RMB to clear the creasing.

There is a basic streamline tool 'Crease Subdivision' under 'Edge Tools' already.
