something seems a little off, before i would hit shift+space in perceptive view, to go to the closets ortho view to my perspective view, than once hitting shift+space again, it would toggle back to my old perspective view. But not when i try to toggle out it keeps the view angle the same instead of reverting to the old one, and just changes from orthographic to perspective.

i would really like the old functionality back, since it is what i am used to, and it is also how i setup maya now too.

Passerby, it works for me, even if I use the settings you sent me before. Which update do you use?

Hehe, I didn't even know about that functionality, just used shift during rotation. But to get to the point: For testing purposes I assigned 'View Navigation Tools -> Snap View (Orthographic)' to the O-key. When in perspective view, I hit the key and get to the closest matching orthographic view. I can do whatever I like in that view, and when hitting O again, I get back to the perspective view I had before. So no problem there.

The only bug I came across is, when hitting O inside an orthographic view, that hasn't been modified yet. It switches to perspective, but unless I turn the view, hitting O again won't switch back to orthographic.

ya works exactly how i expect now in the latests version.

Ya i find this a really useful feature, to the point where i coded my own implementations for it, for Maya and Max. Got it on shift+space for easy access.
