Try this

A new option

Oh yeah! ;D

PS. Is there a chance you could place this toggle inside the "Scene Explorer->Retopo Reference List" tab and maybe inside the Retopo window? There are already too many unrelated items in the Edit->Options menu.

I put it there so it can be customized for quick access when frequent change is needed.

IStonia.
First of all, many, many thanks for adding this functionality. 8)

But regarding the option's placement...
Unless you can access this menu with a hotkey, like I can do with the Scene Explorer's hot window, it's no quick access to me. :(
Also, it's not easy to find the option at a first glance at that long list. If I were a new NVil user, that would be the last place I would look for it. I would first scan through Retopo or Retopo Reference List. Something that's related to the option I'm looking for.

No biggie for course, just my 2 cents.

IStonia,
Regarding retopo. Would it be possible to display a reference mesh without its wireframe, but display wireframe on a retopo mesh at the same time? Wireframe on a reference mesh just comes into way. It's completely unnecessary.

Hi rubberDuck,

You could create a user window with a group containing the options you use. You can then create an hotkey for that hot_window.

Are you sure Steve? I can't find a command that would correspond to that menu item.
Okay, never mind. I found it.  ::)

I love NVil. :)

View > Object Shading > Show Edge On Unselected.
Is this good enough?

Using vertex normals for snapping, that is working correctly.
(select that front edge, and use "Subobject shortcut tools > Normal", which will show vertex normal direction).
