I put it there so it can be customized for quick access when frequent change is needed.
Unless you can access this menu with a hotkey, like I can do with the Scene Explorer's hot window, it's no quick access to me.

You could create a user window with a group containing the options you use. You can then create an hotkey for that hot_window.
IStonia,Regarding retopo. Would it be possible to display a reference mesh without its wireframe, but display wireframe on a retopo mesh at the same time? Wireframe on a reference mesh just comes into way. It's completely unnecessary.
