Feature Requests / Re: Image Planes & Edges Only mode

It works perfect, thanks for that  :)

Having these two features, removed the limitations when using image planes as references while modelling.

No.

I want to be able to see the image on the image plane when Rendering Options > Wire Frame is turned On.
The image would then remain visible when switching between vertex/edge/polygon/object modes while Rendering Options > Wire Frame is On.

PS Wire Frame and Edges Only mode is the same thing. You've labeled the button at the bottom of the viewport Edges Only but it does the same thing as Wire frame (On).

When using image planes (rather than background images)

It would be a very useful feature if you could add the ability to
- Set the image plane to show the image in edges only mode

Do you mean not to show the image plane in vertex/polygon/object modes?

- Set the image plane to show the image when Rendering Options > Wire Frame (On)
- Set the image plane to cull its backface for the image plane/s only (whether you are in Shaded + Wireframe, Transparent or Wire Frame modes)

General Discussion / Re: Cleaner modeling
« Last post by kevjon on February 22, 2026, 01:47:01 am »
I would cut the model in half and apply symmetry to it. That way you only need to do cleanup work on half of it.
Just use loop cut down the center and then delete half the polygons of the model. After that apply symmetry.

Select all the faces on the flat surfaces and turn them into NGon (Look for Make NGon in Tool search).
Use the weld tools to clean up all the stray vertices and weld parts that aren't joined correctly.

Hello.
I need some pointers how to make a cleaner model.
although it is close to what I want....it seems to me it can be done better.

Any tips?

Tnx!

If I have 2 dxf splines ....import them in Nvil can I use these as Nvil splines to create an accurate object?

Yes you can. Select the two closed splines you imported > go to vertex mode > Go to Visual Tools and choose loft > set divisions how you like.

I made an object in drawmesh, the pushpull...what is the proper way to cap the opening?
Select the edges or the opening > Go to Visual Tools & use cap hole + > then set divisions as you prefer

In drawmesh if I draw a line and at the 2 ends it has the green dots...I cannot duplicate it...
what is happening? because I can duplicate other items...
Select your line > Go to Tranform Option of DrawMesh > Duplicate Line is available there. Alt+Space is the key to duplicate. On my windows system co-pilot fires up instead but you can turn it off in Copilot > Account > Settings. Account is hidden behind the sidebar of copilot.
