Feature Requests / Re: Feature request Drawmesh, Crease subD

Keep in mind when using DrawMesh as a modelling tool you can use it inconjunction with standard polymodelling tools & operations. You don't have to do the entire model with DrawMesh. Essentially you go in and out of DrawMesh mode as required.

For example you could use N-Polygons for the headlights, You could create cylinders to cut out the wheel openings with boolean. Standard creasing tools can be used as required.

I agree with you about using standard keyboard shortcuts like D, A, E etc in DrawMesh would be easier to remember provided they don't clash with existing keyboard shortcuts.

Best way that I know of is shown in the linked image. works with Instance directional array or advanced. The image below shows the advanced option. I also use advanced for radial arrays.

Community Help / Array Question
« Last post by silent_haven on Yesterday at 01:29:28 pm »
The best way to array an object with a 0.6m (for example) gap? I have tried it with Instance (Directional Array) but it didnt worked as I want. So I duplicated each cube, snapped it, moved on 0.6m and so on. Is there a more smarter/less frictional way to do that?

Feature Requests / Feature request Drawmesh, Crease subD

While looking at the car tutorial and playing more with Nvil3d there are something I wish for the future if it is possible...or if it makes sense...

Drawmesh
On the Porsche modeling tutorial where the front light bezel is created
In drawmesh you draw the circle shape then circularize...but how about the circle creation option is already there? with the option (attached) from center, 2 point or 3point ...I would guess making this fast program even faster. while duplicating and offsetting the shortcuts are e bit weird to remember...D for duplicate O for offset seems easier to remember..but I guess these can be changed.
when scaling the circle it would be nice and a bit more accurate that the circle remain on the mouse pointer and I guess it would make it faster as well.

When cutting for the wheel wells again drawing then adjusting then cut.
If one had circle option ..just create maybe adjust then cut.
are there measurements diameter when creating circles? this would be nice for people with 3d printers.

Crease sub D
I think it would be nice in the crease subD menu there would be an option that will hold lines.
what i mean if you have a square or a straight line selected it will hold its place or shape even after subD....something similar to the crease sub D. does to avoid the need to add more loop cuts.

Is there a way to make text in highlighted yellow bigger?

Tnx!

I reset everything and it works again. now just reload my backup?
When creating N-polygon the numbers and arrows did not work but after the reset they work again.

It works fine on me.

Does any other spinner control works???
Try restart your pc. If it still not working. try File > Back Up User Settings to save your current settings. Then File > Reset User Settings and see if that will fix it.
