Title: Local rotate/scale
Post by: steve on May 15, 2014, 10:31:37 pm
Hi Istonia,

Since the change you made to the local rotate/scale, the amount of time taken for the initialization of the function (the time between calling the function and when the function actually starts) as increased from what was almost instantaneous to what I am finding unusable when higher numbers of selections are preselected.

For example. I have an object with 551 separate/single polygons selected(all planer/same plane), I want to local rotate/scale those. In dec-23-13 build(32 bit), I can do that with no delay(split second). In latest version, there is a delay of approx 17 seconds between calling the function and the function working (not responding is shown during delay for Nvil).

It is great that the functionality of tools are added upon, but when that comes with such a delay in operation, sorry, I find it unworkable.

Or am i doing something wrong?

The "Local scale" appears to toggle correctly, it is the "Local rotate" that does not toggle to local XYZ. That appears to of been an issue since it was first added in build May-11
When I checked, I was only looking at local scale, so missed the problem(with toggle) with local rotate.
