View Navigation Tools¶
View navigation tools affect any action related to viewports, like camera transformation, framing, layout switching, selecting viewports, etc.
Align along an edge¶
Aligns camera of the active viewport to a preselected or selected edge.
Align Along sub-object normal¶
Aligns camera of the active viewport to a preselected or selected subobject.
Align to mesh surface under cursor¶
Aligns camera of the active viewport perpendicularly to the normal vector of polygon located under cursor.
Align to retopo-reference surface under cursor¶
Aligns viewport camera perpendicularly to the normal vector of retopo-reference object located under cursor. Alignment will occur even if the reference object is frozen.

Back View$¶
Snaps and locks the viewport camera in back view and enables orthographic mode.
Best Fit¶

Cycle Camera Down/Up#¶
Cycles through existing cameras in descending order.
Cycle Camera Up/Down#¶
Cycles through existing cameras in ascending order.

Cycles through different viewport views in ascending order.
Flip Directional Orthographic View$¶
Flips the camera position to an opposite view: front to back, top to down, left to right and vice-versa. Will not flip a custom camera, even if it is set to orthographic mode.
Front View¶
Snaps and locks the viewport camera in front view and enables orthographic mode.
Layout Four Views$¶
Switches to four-view layout.
Layout One View$¶
Switches to single-view layout. It will block any attempt to use Mini/Maximize Viewport! To unlock it, you need to invoke Layout Four Views$.
Layout Three Views (Bottom)$¶
Switches to three-view layout, with two views split vertically at the bottom of the screen.
Layout Three Views (Left)$¶
Switches to three-view layout, with two views split horizontally on the left side of the screen.
Layout Three Views (Right)$¶
Switches to three-view layout, with two views split horizontally on the right side of the screen.
Layout Three Views (Top)$¶
Switches to three-view layout, with two views split vertically at the top of the screen.
Layout Two Views (Horizontal)$¶
Switches to horizontally split two-view layout.
Layout Two Views (Vertical)$¶
Switches to vertically split two-view layout.
Left View$¶
Snaps and locks the viewport camera in left view and enables orthographic mode.
Mini/Maximize Viewport¶
Maximizes the viewport under the cursor, or returns to multi-view if you are currently in single viewport mode.

Pans the viewport camera.

Reset View¶
Resets the current viewport camera to its default position and orientation. Camera’s focus point is set to world origin. Distance between the camera and the focus point will be set to a fixed value, which is view-scale dependent.

Rotates the viewport camera around the current focus point.

Toggle between shaded and wireframe rendering of currently selected object(s).
Show Mesh on Unselected$¶
Toggle between displaying unselected objects as wireframes or fully shaded.
Show Selected Polygon$¶
Toggle between a graphical representation of polygons during selection. They will be rendered with a fill and highlighted edges surrounding him or just highlighted edges.
Show Vertices$¶
Toggles vertex rendering on/off on selected object when you are in vertex mode.
Snap View¶
Snaps to the closest 6-sided view (Front, Back, etc.). Consecutive invocations of the tool will not release you from this view.
Snap View (Orthographic)¶
Same as Snap View, except that it also switches the camera to orthographic view.
