Try this

1. Create a vertex/edge selection.
2. Find and click this tool in "Tool Search" window, Straighten To Line. A temporary streamline tool will be created and activated.
3. Click two vertices to define a line. The verts/edge selection will be projected onto the line.
4. Tap "Esc" key to exit the temporary streamline tool.

look at this also, I think it fits into the toolkit for nvil, maybe if you don't take it completely, but partially, for hard surfaces, solid modeling, it would be very cool, some small analogue of MoI, quick additions, subtractions and divisions , bevel on primitive creation and fast boolean. Most can be done anyway if configured, but see if it might be interesting.

quick select boolean with quick create primitive for boolean,while creating primitive you can make bevel and change its shape and size,and even the amount! and even this to unfold,change the distance between them or chamfer, the number in a row and in height,custom drawing boolean,fast cut of geometry,fast split part of geometry.I think it would be nice to adapt this script for your program.some of the small work, which, for example, would have to be done in Moi or in other modeling of the frame, can be done here, I understand, it will probably be difficult to implement, but it would look awesome
