I'm sure there are other apps that do this too, but I like how Softimage handles keymapping.  In VW I find myself struggling to dig through a huge list of commands to find what I want and map it.  Since VW uses different names for things than I'm used to, it takes even longer.

I'm attaching a screen grab of Softimage's keymapping utility. 

First you have a group and then from within that group you have commands (tools), which you can drag to specific keys.  It lets you assign the same key combinations to different commands depending on context.  Any key that's already mapped is a darker color and clicking on it will tell you what the command is.
