Feature Requests / Re: Request a new feature 2026-5-25

Sure, I can do that, but I'll need some time because I'm not very good at presenting myself on video. I may need to restart the recording from the beginning during the process, and I'll upload the video link once I've made sure everything is correct. This might take a few days, so I hope you don't mind waiting...

Can you make a short video showing how you use the soft selection the brush tools and how you adjust the the size/values? Understanding your workflow can help me.

The scenario is like this:
I need to repeatedly zoom in and out to observe and make timely corrections to objects.
This process is unavoidable in design work, which naturally requires frequently adjusting numerical values to handle it.
I honestly haven't found any adaptive brush size or adaptive soft selection size functionality.
When I'm rushing to meet deadlines, what I'm pursuing in the accelerated workflow has simply become a race against time... I've realized that the numerical functions I need to adjust frequently are too scattered in their placement.
It would be great if I could avoid moving the mouse too far away from the object, and if the frequently modified numerical functions could be summoned at any time like a "Radial Menu."
I know that brush size and soft selection size can be operated with shortcut keys, but...
1. Brush size: I've tried switching to different shortcut keys, but there's always a slight lag or stutter. At this stage, I can't feel its smoothness and precision. However, I firmly believe that with amazing programmers like you maintaining and caring about it, I'll have the chance to experience it in future versions.
2. Soft selection size: Triggering it via shortcut keys does feel smooth without lag, but it lacks visual interaction. I can't quickly adjust it to the exact value I have in mind. If it could have intuitive visual feedback during value adjustment — like the circle size changing visually the way brush size does — I think it would be perfect.

Oh dear, I've rambled on a bit, I hope I haven't gone off-topic...

By the way, this feature request is something I just can't let go of personally. I feel that dragging a slider is ultimately the most intuitive and convenient. And if all the frequently adjusted settings could be consolidated on a single panel, then I wouldn't even need to recall shortcut keys.
If you feel this panel isn't necessary and won't be included in future updates, I can look for a way to withdraw or delete this suggestion. Let's just consider this a little chat between us ^_^

--6. Smart Shell (if possible ofc) that unknots messy vertices like p_chamfer (expandable) in boolean stack tool
Q: Can you describe what it is?

--9. Im not sure of this, but maybe add a gizmo in "Draw Mesh" mode? Inconvenient to rotate circles for me
