Anything I am doing wrong?  Chamfer on this edge is yielding unwanted results because of the edge loop in the middle.  I would like to have the edges straight, and not bent.  Bottom edge loop is correct, but the top one is not.

Check the options:- (Edit > Options) and make sure that "Equal Chamfer Amount" is disabled.

Thanx!  Tool options should be nested into the dialog box for that tool, wish we somehow had access to this level of tweaking the UI.    For things like chamfering edges around holes, i found i need to create a supporting edgeloop of all quads before using chamfer, otherwise the results are quite bizarre.
