I'd love to see the scene info is actually embedded inside the viewport. Right now it's a little annoying to hover the mouse to the side just to peek at the info.
What if we could actually use the same information, but display it in the upper left corner on the viewport?
Some of hud found in modo, max, and maya.
SOme of the benefit of this information in the viewport
- Information are displayed on the fly
- reduce mistake in selection (particularly dealing with backface selection)
- Reduce the back and forth mouse hovering, save more time.

ya im quite fond and used to the maya HUD, and would like a option for it.
in the meantime it works pretty decent to put scene info on a hotkey.
