Draw mesh not creating geometry

When I draw with Draw mesh no geometry is created. Sometimes it will create a single triangle. Sometimes it will create a single quad if I draw the lines large enough.

This feels like user error, is there a setting i've turned off accidentally or is it a bug? Currently on Sept 07 2020 build.

Reference mesh is in the retoplist and frozen.

Looks like your "Auto Weld Threshold" is tool big.
Use the "Auto weld threshold adjusting" tool in the UI to check it.
