Hi, between middle of last year until recently (and still continuing) I have created some hair assets for Foxie Ventures, for the game Virtual Sim Story: Dream Life
The hairs are first sculpted in Zbrush, then using Blender's Hair tool to create hair strands poly mesh, and then decimated and bring into Nvil to retopo. Hair poly budget is set to 1500 triangles. I am using Nvil's Draw Mesh to retopo, the dot system + ability to create triangles + spin edges quickly really helps a lot in the workflow.
I created the male and female character hairs and body. Clothes are created by other artists.
If I find the time, I will share more about the workflow in the future.
Check out Virtual Sim Story: Dream Life by Foxie Ventures in Google Play Store.
