Thanks IStonia! glad to have them back, I tried it out and noticed some slight problems which is 1st. weight is too strong even on low values and 2nd. it's too sensitive on wacom (mouse works alright I think), but I think you improved those with Jun-19-19.

I created some gifs to show the problems, although it's seems improved.. the sentivity can be improved more, to be much less sensitive (it's going too fast to the 1.0 or 0.0).

This is how it looks on previous version:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/cz2j6uy7m7dun4v/previous-brush-change-weight.gif?dl=0

latest version (Jun-19-19) even though it feels a bit more stable, i hope it can improved more to ideally works like the previous version (gif above).

currently changing the weight looks a bit like this (Jun-19-19 is improved quite a bit)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/325ke2jvwlwavlu/current-brush-change-weight.gif?dl=0

For the strength of the weight, it's more ok now but i noticed that even on a weight value of 0.3, if I just tap (instead of click drag), the vertex moves 80-90% of the distance, overall it's still too strong i think.

currently it looks a bit like this for the smooth strength (Jun-19-19 is improved a bit)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/86w9ywgwgrl1x0c/current-brush-smooth-strenght.gif?dl=0

One other request, if you are willing to make some more time to this, I would also like to suggest swapping the function of drag horizontal and vertical

drag horizontally left and right will change the brush size, left will decrease and right will increase
drag vertically up and down will change the brush strength, up will increase and down will decrease

this makes it consistent with changing the soft selection radius (and also Maya's), and i think this will feels more natural on the gesture (i guess).

I noticed that the quad detection is better on Jun-17 version, there are some areas that quad detection failed on Jun-18 and Jun-19 that are ok on Jun-17

Can you show me the difference with pics?

Sorry, my mistake... :-[  I think I forgot to turn on retopo mode or something.. but I created a video to show at some camera angles, the quad detection not working

miica, try this
http://www.digitalfossils.com/Download/NVil-Jun-20-19.rar

All fixed. The smooth brush problem you have is because the mesh is not snapped to the reference surface and the brush tool causes them to snap.

- is there a way to turn off the new vert highlighting that happens now when holding shift to make quads from dots? Its a bit abrasive.

- pressing the tweak_mesh mode hotkey no longer works while in mesh_cut mode.

It is removed.

It works fine on me.

A little bug fixed in the dot system.
http://www.digitalfossils.com/Download/NVil-Jun-22-19.rar

I wonder in what kind of area you use drawing and other areas you use dots? And which one you use more on average?

Hi IStonia,

For me I am used to drawing so I am still using that mostly, so far dots feels a bit slower to me, haven't fully test the workflow yet, but my thoughts are..

- undo, doesn't undo the dots creation.. (and if we created a quad then undo, the dots is gone)
- cannot create continuous quads in one single drag
- feels slightly slower because I think it is two step process.. first, create dot, then shift to create quad. in drawing, i just have to draw the lines and press enter. (when creating just a single quad, dots is faster but I also often create a long polygon loops, dots will become slower on creating long polygon loops)
- drawing can also generate triangle, which I will use more in very low poly assets. dots will become two steps here because I have to create a quad then merge one of its vert.

on latest version, the quad detection seems to works better so I think I will experiment with dots more.

I also just tried out the "Assigned_Tools" recently and also like it as a companion to drawing because drawing sometimes fails to generate the geometry I looking for. I assign the following streamline tool to it:

LMB <> Edge_Extrude_Cursor Direction
MMB <> Edge_Bridge_Single
RMB <> Vertex_Extrude

these 3 operations (extrude edge, bridge edge and extrude vertex) works well so far and I really happy to discover this option.

(also just recently discovered "SetView" :D)

Quite a few bug fixings. Some of them can cause crashes.

Thaks miica! I added them to the default settings.
But have you noticed that there is an "Extrude" option in the Draw Mesh tool? It allows you to extrude/bridge on edges(even edges of drawn lines). You can also extrude form border vertex.

The "Assigned Tools" hotkey is bind to "Tweak NormalMvoe" streamline tool whose default hotkey is Z.

How do i go about changing the hotkey for "assigned_tools" ? I'm using a custom UI i got online who's hotkey for "assigned_tools" is Shift+T. I'd like to change it back to default if possible, but cant seem to find out where.
