Sudden crash, out of nowhere

I switched back to NVil's window almost right after starting a new scene and a brief time I spent looking for references, and suddenly this showed up:

I can't tell what may cause the crash. It can be the OS, graphic card, slimedx and Nvil.

Yeah, probably could be anything. It's the first time I see this, and hopefully the last.
