That is very cool quick workflow.

At the end of the video when you mirror the box to other side, if you twweak some verts on one box does the other one update ?

For sure!
You have to keep in mind 3 things:
1. Object Pivot
2. Symmetry plane
3. Enable/Disable Symmetry
