IStonia, just found one little problem if I use Select instances when instance source is selected instances selects in right way but if I have nothing selected or have selected object that have no Instances, ALL instances will be selected.
Another words if nothing is selected or selected objects have no instances this command works like - Select All Instance Object.

I think it have to select nothing if nothing or object without instances are selected.
Any way if I want to select all Instances I'l use - Select All Instance Object, but when I use this command I want to be selected only instances that selected objects have.

While it works this way I can not use it for export using my plugin, because If I want to export object that has no Instances this command will select all Instances.

Also 'Select Instance Source' works the same way.
If nothing is selected or selected objects has no instances this command will select all Instance sources.
I think in this situation it will be good to make 2 commands:

1. Select All Instance sources
2. Select instance sources.

First will select all Instance sources, second only those that are Sources of Selected Instances.
The same way I think have to work and Select instances, we have to have 2 commands:

1. Select All Instance Object
2. Select Instances

First will select all Instances, second only those that owned by selected objects.

Those are not bugs. It is the way those selection tools are implimented.

Help > Contents > Modeling > Object Selection > Object Commands.

With most tools/functions, they where added for manual use, so when attempts are made to automate, be it from external(plugin) or internal(composite tools), you start to see the limitations.(as I have with composite tool creation)

You could of course ask for changes to the current tool(s), but then there is the possibility of needing to ask for changes to the changes, then asking for changes of the changes to the changes made, or, we end up with new tools added that are very specific in use, that are again limited in use, and changes are then requested.

Unfortunalty, the way Nvil as developed, we have (IMHO) a disjointed tool system, where many tools/function are not fully integrated with the currect toolset / system.

steve,
Actually now 'Select instance' comabines two tools:
-Select instance
-Select All Instance Object

All I suggest is to uncombine those tools. The same thing is with "Select instance sources".
I can not see here any canges of changes.

The advantage of the current behavior is that you can do more things with one tool.

I will disable the extra function if it is executed in composite tool or importing instructions.
