spline modifier not updated by drag-transform in manipulation window

When i used spline modifiy on some mesh vertices and then manipulate a spline vertex by dragging the little box in front of an input to an axis in the manipulation/input window, the spline modifier does not get updated. When typing in a value, it works correctly.
