I was wondering why the pivot is always moving to the center of the active viewport every time I pan the object out of view. Is this normal behavior? I'm asking because if I start rotating around it will use the centered pivot as origin.

Hello SsSandu_C.
Technically speaking it's only visual representation of the manipulator that gets centred on screen whenever you move the camera away from it. Object's pivot as well as the position of the manipulator both remain in place.
It has been implemented as a convenience, so we don't have to rotate the camera towards the manipulator whenever we need to use it.

Thank for the response. I'll have to get used to it. Wish there were an option to toggle this kind of behavior on and off.
