Hi Fabrice,  Welcome to the forum.

You can use the "Math selection". By default it is located on the right hand side of the main view, the tab next to "Soft selection". (if you have closed that window at some time, you can open it from "View -> Windows -> Math selection window"

First, select your object(s) you want to check for polygons with more than 4 edges.
In the little drop down menu, select "Polygons With edges >" enter a value of 4. Press apply.

NOTE:
For those who may be unfamiliar with the math symbols and selection booleans:-

> (Greater than)
< (smaller than)
= (equals)
!= (not equal)

Boolean:
Replace (replace current selection with new selection)
Include (add new selection to current selection)
Exclude (Remove selection from current selection)
