StreamLine Basic Tools > Generic Tools > Surface Align#
I am still trying to understand how to use that function. In the tool description it states:- "Drag to align selections towards the surface of unselected objects". It also shows that the function should work on NMB. But on activation of the function, the only thing I get (if I assign it to a mouse click) is a popup with option for "vertex normal direction" or "View direction", but nothing after that.
I can see that the function "Surface Align#" is giving the options for the 2 basic streamline tools "Surface Align Vertex Normal#" and "Surface Align ViewDirection", but find attempting to use those directly do not appear to do anything either.
Thanks,

You need to add the unselected objects to the 'Retopo reference list' in 'Scene Explorer' and make sure 'Retopo mode enabled' is on.
I shall add the information to the tool tip.

Hi IStonia,
OK, thanks.
I thought I had tried that, but must of been attempting to move a vertex via vertex_normal_direction that did not intercept the retopo object.
