We have lots of specialized snapping tools. Snap to edge, snap to vertice, snap to face, snap to center, snap to ...

What could be useful is a general snapping tool that snaps to the closest element. When it`s closest to a face, then snap to face. When you are above a face but close to an edge, then snap to edge, When you are above a face, close to an edge, but closest to a vertice, then snap to vertice.

This should not replace the existing methods. Most of them are still useful then to avoid snapping to an element that you don`t want to snap to. But could save me a ton of switching between the current modes.

You can enable more than one snapping option at once (or all at once). Is that not the same as what you are requesting?

Hmm now that you mention it, yes, i remember that i was able to do so before. But this doesn`t work here. I can just turn on one method at one time. When i click at another method then the selected method turns deselected. Did i stumble across a bug here?

EDIT says, i found the "turn on all" command in the Manipulation / Snapping Options. So as usual, my requested tool is already there, heh. But i still cannot turn single items on or off. When i select one item, then the other items deselects.

When selecting snapping options:-

LMB: Will select the snap option clicked on, and de-selected all others.
MMB: Click on any snap option and it will toggle between select all/select none
RMB: Toggle on/off the specific snap selection, it will not de-select previously selected snaps.
