Hey,
Is there a way to set a custom colour for all instances so they could be easily seen at a glance within the viewport?

I have tried creating an instant instance and it is a bit tricky to distinguish it from other objects within the 3D viewport. Ideally I could set a custom colour and even an opacity level, perhaps custom draw mode (shade only, shade + wireframe, transparent).

A common use-case could be designing a wheel of a car, working on the master/primary wheel and seeing which are the instances easily so i don't try clicking on the instance wheel to edit it.

Best regards.

Try this
https://digitalfossils.com/Download/NVil-Sep-17-24.zip

* View > Object Shadings > Render Instances In Instance Material. If this option is On, instances will be rendered in Instance Material instead of the instance source object's material.
Instance Material can be customized through the context menu in Material window. Exception: If its Diffuse color is set to black, only its transparent value is used in conjunction with the source object's material colors.
