The purpose of this menu reordering is to bring back muscle memory as it adapts to the standard menu ordering found in other software like modo/maya/max.

To follow the standard menu ordering like other softwares, here's my suggested order (coz rite now it's kinda messed and I lost my muscle memory).

File
----
New Scene
Open Scene
Merge Scene
Recent Files
----
Save Scene
Save Scene Incremental
Save Scene As
Save Selected ( Do we really use this feature?)
----
Export scene
Export scene as
Import Object *from Create - Import from External File
Export Object *from Create - Export from External File **simply rename to export Object, ppl understand.
----
3D-Coat Applink
---
Close

EDIT
----
Undo
Redo
Show Undo History
Show Redo History
Clear History
----
Undo Subobject Selection move to selection
Redo Subobject Selection move to selection
----
Workplane
----
Customize -> Radial Menus
                    Streamline Tools
                    Tools
Options
Preferences

CREATE joined with other menu
----
Primitive move to MODIFY
----
Create New Object Thumbnail Image move to Misc tools
Take SnapShot Move to View
----
Save to Library move to Misc tools
Open Object Library move to Misc tools

MODIFY *rename to GEOMETRY or MESH or OBJECT?
----
Create Primitive > *from the create menu
the rest follows the current menu

SELECTIONS
----
Undo Subobject Selection
Redo Subobject Selection
----
Object Modes *Renamed to Selection Modes
---
Selection Mode (q) *move and rename to Manipulator > Set Manipulator > 'Select tool' ( I think its more relevant there)
Rename 'selection Method' to 'Selection style'
Clear Selection
----
vertex/edge/face/object (no changes)
----
Rename 'Full Grow Selection' to 'Select All'
Grow Selection
Shrink Selection
Inverse Selection
----
Grow Selection within symmetry side
Select Along symmetry center
Select Symmetrical Subobject > Left
                                                Right
---
Paste Saved Subobject selection
Save current subobject selection
---
Restore last subobject selection
Auto Restore last subobject selection

MISC TOOLS
----
Measure
Object list
Pivot
Retopo
Workplane
----
Hide *move to View
Hide unselected *move to View
Unhide *move to View
----
Activate Last streamline tool
Repeat Last command
----
Refresh
*move to view
----
Create New Object Thumbnail Image
Save to Library
Open Object Library

Sounds good but i see 1 mistake you made.

you have

Rename 'Full Grow Selection' to 'Select All'

Full Grow Selection isnt a select all command, it just grows the selection within a mesh, the equivalent of double clicking it in face mode, in VW and maya.

but ya i support most of this since some menus especially file and edit, are in a pretty weird order.

Hello Elte,
thanks for your efforts. I however do not agree with a lot of points you brought up.
Just briefly the most important things: Yes indeed Save Selected is a very vital Feature. One should not consider its removal.
Undo/Redo Selection are Edit Features. Every Package I know which have this also list them under Edit too.
Introducing a Master Menu-Entry to accomodate Modify but also in order to fit new entries in my opinion is no good idea either.
It just makes stuff less accessible. To get an Extrude via Menu on had the command sitting in the third Sub-Level.
That was really bad in my opinion.  Such vital commands instead should sit in the first Sublevel already (so the Edge/Face/etc. Sub-Menus should be given up upon). So I basically propose changes in the only area you want to keep unchanged :)
