I`m used to toggle Widgets with the tab button. But i haven`t found a way to turn on or off the widgets yet, besides the classical method to click at the button. Which interrupts the workflow. Is there a way to set up a streamline tool that toggles the widges in that way?

by widgets do you mean the translation, rotation and scale tools

if so press Q, which gets rids of them and makes the cursor do selection olny.

Ah, this turns them off. Thanks, that`s half of the show. Now i just need a way to turn them on again. Pressing Q again doesn`t make them appear though. Any ideas? :)

you press the button associated with that tool, so press w to get the translate widget, r for rotate or e for scale etc.

the package treats those like tools, and q drops what ever the current tool is and goes to selection mode, if you hold q it is also a streamline tool for more selection types too.

3ds, and maya, and silo and a few other packages act in a similar way with the q, w, e and r keys just minus the streamline bit.

... and q, r and w to bring them back. Thanks :)

I find the Tab button to show/hide the widgets in trueSpace much more comfortable. No need to turn on the brain to remember the correct hotkey and decide what widget i have left before. Just make the stuff invisible and reappear with one hit. And it`s a big button too, which you can`t really miss. Let`s have a look if the streamline tools leads me to somewhere here :)

different people prefer different things i like it because it is consistent with maya, and i can choose the widget and show it with 1 key, instead of in your case where you need to display it first to figure out its not on the widget you would like anyways.

also i have my component type keys underneath Q,W,E,R at A,S,D,F, so my hand just kinda sits on that part of the keyboard with quick access to all widgets and all component types from muscle memory.

Oh, in Nvil i also first need to turn the tool on to show what widget comes up. No big difference really. Just that i don`tuse three different buttons to show/hide the widgets, but one single button. But you name it: different people have different needs :)
