Forum - Avatar gets cut off

I`ve uploaded my 96x96 pixel avatar. Which is not this big. In the avatar uploadpanel and in my profile it gets fully displayed. But in a posting it gets cut off. Is it just for me? Or is there a maximum file size for an avatar? If so it might be a good idea to add this information at the avatar uploadpanel
