NVil displays System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException when I try to open an .obj file that I exported from Houdini. 3D-Coat, Blender and Silo don't have any problems opening it.

NVil displays System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException

If the "Fle format options" for obj import have either the "Divide into meshes by polygon groups", or "Divide into objects by polygon groups" enabled(ticked), then I do see the same error popup.

Disable both those import options and the file imports\loads OK.

Try this
http://www.digitalfossils.com/Download/NVil-Jul-31-16.rar

It was a bug on group handling.

Wow, I'm glad you were able to pinpoint and squash the bug so quickly. Many thanks!
Without a question, NVil has the best and the fastest support in all CG world. :)
