When I open Nvil and custom viewport is maximised from when I closed it last, I cannot zoom, pan or rotate the model, it appears to be frozen.

I have found a workaround which is to either minimise the application & then maximise it again or hit the space bar to enter into quad view.

I must work mainly in custom view because I am running into this all the time.

I'm using Jan23 under Windows 10.

I couldn't reproduce the bug.

Does it happen every time? Did you press Alt key before pressing the mouse button? If so, did you see the {Alt} print out in your viewport, up-left?

Yep happens every time, even when using Dec 16 version.

Did you press Alt key before pressing the mouse button?
Yes

If so, did you see the {Alt} print out in your viewport, up-left?
No the ALT print out does not show in my viewport as it normally does.

After using the workaround though I do find that the view did actually rotate while it appeared frozen.

It seems to me Nvil didn't get focus after loading. Try clicking the app anywhere after loading and see if it works.

Clicking anywhere in the app first does not work. I can also highlight menu items but it does not unlock the viewport.
Even running the box command does not unlock the custom viewport even though the box dialog box shows up.

If I hit F8 to bring up tool search then it works normally.

I should point out I am using a custom interface design. I also just loaded up the default NVil interface and it has the same issue for me.

Can you make a video? That may give me a clue. Does it work fine on four view ports?

IStonia, you can reproduce this bug by putting you PC to sleep црут NVil is Active. I have this issue every time my pc wake up. To make NVil work I minimize it then maximize. Also practically everytime NVil do not go to the top of other windows when you launch it so NVil window stay behind another windows. I wanted to mention that bugs latter but looks like Kevjon started this theme :)

Istonia

Unfortunately I do not have video capabilities.

Using the default Nvil interface, In Quad View all viewports work correctly except the bottom right hand viewport. It doesn't matter whether that viewport is set to custom view or an orthographic view it is frozen when you first open NVIL. That is also the viewport I normally use for my custom view and the one I often leave maximised when I close the application. So there must be something slightly different in the coding for that viewport.

For me this is nothing to do with PC waking up it happens every time I open Nvil.

Hi Istonia

I just updated my Nvidia Driver to 361.03 (Dec 21-2015) and the problem is now solved.

The issue I had was occurring with the previous driver 359.06 (Dec 1-2015).

So my apologies for not thinking to do this before posting and thus wasting your time looking into it.
