Just found a bug with importing OBJ files sent from Maya that contain Polygon Groups.
I have 'Divide into objects by polygon groups' set in NVil File format Options, also with Z_UP.

I seems to me that your Maya obj exporter didn't do it properly.

ok I'll have a look into why this might be the case on the Maya side as you're quite confident that it's not an NVil issue.
