As I began working on the wiki I got real curious about the functions in NVil. I came across some issues with the ResetView and AllignView [sic!] functions. I don't know, if that behavior is intended, but it is confusing.

ResetView sometimes uses an upside-down UpVector.
AlignView when used in ortho views screws with the view's orientation (like tilting the scene).
To see when this is happening, I made a video:

I am not seeing all the problems you have shown.

The reset view, yes that does not reset camera to the up-vector, but due to description of that function, which only puts forward the reset of focus point and reset of camera distance from focus point, there is no clue as to what other functions it is supposed to do.

The align to normal, that appears to be OK on the test I made.(although only limited tests up to now)

The align_along_edge. I am not seeing a problem with camera_up. There does appear to be a problem when attempting to use the "Align_along_Edge" if the edge is already aligned to world axis. For example. Select an edge, use "Align _Along_Normal", the "Align_Along_Edge" does not appear to work until you move the edge off main axis alignment. (Although now, when checking more, it does sometimes work)
