I was wondering if there is any way to round trip assets with 3D-coat without having to reassign the original materials. When meshes re-import, and replace the original by name, they come in whith a new material. It would be cool if they could retain the original material. I am trying to use 3D-Coat as a UV editor, and it is mostly seamless, except for the unwanted materials being imported, and needing to reassign the original Nvil material. Other than this, so far, the built-in 3DC applink is fantastic. I understand that for many, importing new materials isdesirable, but maybe we could have a toggle for this... or maybe it is already there, and I have overlooked it.
Thanks.
