I do not know if this is a bug or I am doing it wrong.
How do you change the pivot point of an object without affecting the pivot of another object. Please look at the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5g7-somROE

Hi livnolis,

You currently have the "Pivot Position" set to "Manual"
If you want the Pivot to move to selection, or to new objects created automatically, change the "Pivot Position" to "Selection" or "Object"

Thanks a lot Steve. It is good to know that it was my mistake. Now, I have another problem related to pivot point. I am trying to rotate a "Door", but the pivot does not stay where I need it to stay permanently.
How do you set the pivot point to an edge and use that as the rotation point. Please look at the video to get a better understanding.

By the way. Sorry for asking so many questions.

Hi livnolis,

To move an objects pivot point, use the "visual tools-> Pivot" (The one you used in your first vid.) With that command you can move an objects pivot to any snap-point, or simply drag the pivot point around. So in your example, set snapping to "Edge mid point", select "Pivot" and snap to the "edge mid point" of the edge you want the pivot to locate to, you can then close the pivot window. When you then select that object, just make sure that the "Pivot Position" is set to "Object"
Hope you can follow that. It can take a bit of getting used to with the pivot and its various locations.

By the way. Sorry for asking so many questions.
