Hi
Blender can do this, hoping to provide some references.
Thank you!

I use a screenshot to illustrate the benefits of doing so, and can change the chamfer size at any time by modifying the weight during the modeling process, without destroying the topology.

There is no modifier stack system in Nvil so can't do in the same way as Blender.
But please test this version
http://www.digitalfossils.com/Download/NVil-Jun-30-18.rar
The edge/vertex weight feature is added to this tool, Edge mode > Geometry > Chamfer.
Steps to use
1. Select edges before open the tool.
2. Click the Preview button in tool UI to activate preview mode.
3. Set some chamfer amount so it is not zero.
4. Click the Edge/Vertex button to enter weight setting mode.
5. Click to select edge/vertex in viewport.
6. Adjust weight value in tool UI.
