automatically turn off Multi-Selection in Ortho-Viewports

While working in perspective viewport Multiselect works very nicely, but in ortho viewports this Mode hardly makes sense – unless one wants to select by picking elements one by one. Hence my wish: Could there be an option to automatically switch to traditional component modes (switched by 1,2,3 etc) in ortho viewports?
