hi there,

maybe another thing:

A function to expand an existing selection by a given amount would be sweet... like in modo for example, you select 1 face/polygon then with "shift+arrow up" you expand this selection by more faces (+1 up +1 down +1 left +1 right). If tapping arrow up again, selection expands by another row on so on...

Cheers!

There are various tools for expanding selection. Have a look in "Edit > Customize > Tools" >> "Subobject Shortcut Tools". Where you will find various, such as "Grow/shrink loop selection", "Grow/shrink Ring selection", "Single step grow/shrink loop selection" etc.

Asaaaah, I did not know that... hmmm.

Maybe I should read everthing, first. ;)

But it would be nice if somebody would do a little "NVIL - An Introduction" video, maybe to help promote, too. I mean, there are so many good and well thought tools in there... it´s really outstanding to me.

There is also the default "Selection" drop down menu, at top left of screen. That is context sensitive, so the list will change depending on which selection mode you are in.

If you are using the "Visual tools" menu, there are also various selection methods there, some of the buttons should be "LMB (hold mouse button down)" as then a drop down menu will show from that button, showing more selection methods.
