"Extend Edge" neglects symmetry

Hey!
I just noticed that the streamline tool 'extend edge' only works on the selected edge on one side of the mesh, if symmetry is enabled, and doesn't mirror across to the other side. It would be nice if it were to be improved, so that it takes symmetry into account.
