Autosave Please

Hi

Most 3D apps seem to have an autosave funcion. The ones I mostly use do - Silo, 3D Coat and Rhino so I am not in the habit of regularly saving work. As a result I have lost so many hours of work through memory crashes in Nvil. Is there any chance of this function? I also don't understand why it has not been requested before or is everybody just good at regularly saving?

Well, like many others no doubt, I'm pretty obsessive about saving regularly, because even ZBrush didn't auto-save for years until about 6 months ago, and has never been totally stable.  However, I agree that autosave is one of those obvious features that should exist in every 3d app.  I like the approach of 3ds Max and others, where files are automatically saved to a temporary file rather than the primary one you are working in, which can be recovered in case of a crash.
