visualisation of Object Pivot

I work mostly without the Manipulator, so I often find myself missing a visual indication of where the object pivot is. It'd be nice if there was a (themeable) dot that represented the object pivot. In the options I'd like two options:
toggling its visibility for object mode
toggling its visibility for subobject modes

Done.

The pivot is now rendered in front.
