New user, just trying out Nvil, looks really great and a nice rich toolset.

I have a question about background image sizes.

I have set up front, right and top background images but they have all come into their individual viewports at different scales.

They are all the correct proportion to each other in photoshop.

How do you get them into Nvil at the correct proportion to each other ?

Can you provide sample screen shots in which there would be a box with size corresponding to your background image proportional.

Here is the screen shot you requested its April 18 version.

The wingspan of the aircraft is 950 pixels wide in the front and top views. The side view is also proportional to the top and front view (inside photoshop) yet they all come out in different sizes when placed into Nvil.

think this could be fixed by being able to set, and display a absolute scale factor for image planes?

that way someone can import say there top image, scale it how they want, than copy the xyz scale values, for use in the next image they export.

Currently using the type ins for scale wont work on BG images, and even on objects there is no way to input ABSOLUTE scale, just SIZE, and RELATIVE scale.

which i really think needs to be fixed, i think the translate panel, should have not display size, and just have ABSOLUTE scale and RELATIVE scale fields, and the size should be a separate tool.

Normally in most 3d software, 1 pixel on the image = 1 unit of measure in the software.

For example if the image is 800 pixels wide and the software units of measure are set to cm then the image measures in the software at 800cm.

I've tried out the Apr22 version, works perfect now in all views. Thanks !
I think out of all the 3d software I've tried and used the setup of background images in Nvil is the easiest.

I'm now looking forward to trying out all the other modelling tools on a real model.

On the April 22 version the left side image comes in Ok but the right side image comes in all squashed in the horizontal direction.
