I feel there's something missing in the 'Polygon Shortcut Tools -> Subdivison' operation. When I select polygons and hit subdivide, the algorithm automatically creates vertices outside of my selection. I don't always want that. It should be possible to just subdivide the selection without connecting the new vertices on the perimeter of the selection to other components outside the selection and not creating even more geometry outside, but leaving NGons. If I just subdivide 2 times, there are so many edges I have to delete afterwards, that it's not reasonable.
So an option would be nice. Thanks!

This has been implemented, right? Just checking, so Passerby knows to move it to the completed section.
