Currently no way you can do that straight away in Nvil. I will see if I can make a new tool for this.

Try this
http://www.digitalfossils.com/Download/NVil-Apr-25-19.rar

  * A new basic streamline tool, "Edge Path Strip". Split edges along single edge selection path and fill new geometries in the gap.
  * A new basic streamline tool, "Edge Path Strip(Spline)". Snap nearby edges to spline and split those edges along single edge path and fill new geometries in the gap. Scroll WMB or Alt+Drag to change segment. If not mapped to NMB, click to create by last width value. If snapping to spline is not wanted, depress Space key before drag out the geometry. This can be useful for examing the chosen path then undo go back and alter the geometry for better result next try.

Try this. Some bug fixing on "Edge Path Strip(Spline)" tool.
