There are many 3D softwares that support Boolean preview, so Boolean results can be viewed and modified more intuitively. For example, ZBrush 2018's Live Boolean feature (https://pixologic.com/zclassroom/lesson/live-boolean-intro-usage)
More advanced Boolean functions provide a non-destructive workflow for non-subsurface or non-faceted surface modeling. There is also a functional demo of the Blender's ICE TOOLS PRO (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD6j_Hjyxug&list=PLKFJy6TgdDCIPk-IDuiBaut4FQseGw_YZ&index=25)
