Title: Open Spline at Selected Vertex
Post by: kevjon on September 23, 2017, 03:22:28 am
I might misunderstand the tools purpose or it could be bug.

If I select a vertex of a spline and run the command it doesn't do anything.

I was hoping it would split a single spline into 2 separate splines at the selected vertex ?

Is there a tool to split a spline at a selected vertex ?

Open Spline at Selected Vertex works only if spline is closed. If you want to cut a closed spline in two separate ones, you'd probably need to create a duplicate of the curve, open both and remove unwanted vertices.
There's probably a better way, but I didn't find it.

Thanks RD that's a bit of extra work but a good work around.

The reason I want to do this is for spline loft purposes.

It works now.

That works absolutely brilliant now and keeps the tangency between the two spline segments !

That will make my task of creating spline cages for spline lofting so much easier. Thanks much appreciated.
