Title: Align- Along Vertex Normals
Post by: steve on July 07, 2012, 06:21:06 am
Hello,

I have been trying to use "(vertex-Common Commands n tools)Align-> Surface Alignment-> Along Vertex Normal", but with no result.
I have tried various setting, but nothing happens. Is that function working? If it is, could someone please show an example of it working?

Thanks,

- Steve

1. Create a cube. Make sure it is selected.
2. In 'Scene Explore > Retopo Reference List', check 'Retopo mode enabled' option. Click 'Add From Scene Selection'.
3. Deselect the cube.
4. Create a sphere larger than the cube.
5. Goto vertex mode.
6. Select all the vertices of the sphere.
7. Open the 'Align' tool and execute the command. The sphere's shape should snap onto the cube.

Note: Uncheck the 'Rotopo mode enable' option if you don't use it, as the rendering is different.
Also there is two basic streamline tools under 'General Tools' group can do the same thing with position control.
