Hay IStonia, some requests.
1. Add pleas option - Hide Heads Up and View Type Labels On Preview and in Inactive viewport
2. Add pleas option - Disable Sharp Edges On preview and in Inactive viewport.
3. Add pleas option to P_Load from File(*) - Load Viewport layout.
If it is True NVil will merge or load scene and also Load Viewport layout form file.
If it is False - NVil will just merge or load scene.
4. Modify pleas P_Load from File(*) if path is not specified NVil looks for requested file in Settings directory than in NVil directory.
5. Add pleas option to Composite tool - Remove from Undo and Selection Undo Stack.
-
3. Modify pleas P_Load from File(*). Add to it Merge option.
It has had "NewScene" Option. If you input false, it would be Merge.
-
It is how it works now?
-
I think so but never tested it.
-
Yest it works, great!!

Hay some things:
4. Looks like NVil looks for file only in Application directory. It does not look also in Settings Directory - c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\DigitalFossils\NVil\
3. I try to merge file with loading Viewport layout form file but it dose not work. I mean it does not load viewport from file.

1. Can you pleas make Hide View Type Labels On Preview to hide axis also. Check they are in the inactive views.

Save a copy of your config files before run new updates, in case something may go wrong.

Also you can drag buttons to scroll. You need to drag over 12 pixels before scroll can start. Once scroll starts, mouse click and wheel events will be dismissed.
-
Nice solution with buttons! I wanted to suggest you to use timing to make the same thing, but decided to go further with other requests, many thanks!
P_Load from File(*) - Can freeze forever when loading, sometimes it can load scene after about 30 sec. Looks like it loads viewport(it appears) than freeze.
I set: File Name without directory(file is in Settings folder); New Scene - False; Load Viewport - true.

I works fine on my test. Can you send me your config and that file?
-
I just made test again I removed previously used P_Load from File(*) and created new one and it started to work properly, so looks like problem solved, cool! Waiting for 2 and 5!

Istonia,
Check your Email, I sent you message.

IStonia, can you pleas make when you merge scene with P_Load from File(*) and Load Viewport is true, it will also load camera position. NVil load camera position when you load as New Scene but I also need it for Merge.

View > Object Shading > Preview On Viewport Navigating > Sharp Edge Style Rendering Disabled On Preview.

Works!
P_Load From File(*) looks like it loads camera position, but I thought it will also load View(Top, Left...) For example if file have 1 view and viewport is Top, it will load it. Can you make it to work this way? Everything have to be like Load Scene but without creating new scene just merge.

So much thanks!!!!
The main Idea was to use Default.vws that is lay in settings folder!
This file will be loaded at Start Up. So users will be able to create their default.vws with viewports they want and objects inside it. For example I plane to use human silhouette in this file.

* Edit > Options > Undo Redo Options > Undo Record Adding Disabled On Composite Tool Executing.
Some records still have to be added otherwise crash may happen when undo.
-
IStonia, can you pleas add the same option to the composite tool window, so it would be possible to set this option individually.
-
Forget to say add pleas these commands to List - Sharp Edges On New Objects, Sharp Edges On New Organic Objects. Want to use them in composite tools.
And Sharp Edges Triangle/Polygon do not remember its state after restart.

"Undo recording adding disabled" option is added to composite tool dlg. Previous option removed.
Edit > Options > Sharp Edges On New (Organic) Objects.
-
Hay IStonia looks like we have some little problem with sharp edges.
We already have these coomands and they work but looks like we have no them in the list (can not use them with composite tools)
And we have these new that you added Edit > Options > Sharp Edges On New (Organic) Objects and they are in the list but do not work.
Looks like that commands duplicated in different menus and one works one not.
May be I do something wrong?
-
IStonia you forgot to fix this: Sharp Edges Triangle/Polygon do not remember its state after restart.
-
Hay IStonia, I just notice that if Sharp Edges On New (Organic) is off in View -> Object Shading... is off
Commands from Edit > Options > Sharp Edges On New (Organic) is working.
So everything is ok.
